One out one In!
Been a bit mental this month so far to be honest and will be glad when we see the beginning of October when we have nothing planned (as yet).
First of all we went through then complete cycle of fostering Sabre, we had him for about 4 weeks and he was good as gold and much longer and i'm sure he would have got his Southport passport. In the end we found him lovely new home in Yorkshire and has swapped our pack to go and live with four cats!
So far so good, we have received emails and photos and Suzy is in touch with the new owner who is thrilled to bits, as are we.
It was quite an emotional thing to go through but they reckon once you have done it once it gets easier, well i don't have to tell you it wont be long before we find out. I'm guessing the next lodger is being sought after as we speak.
I think it went well although i think Ben was pleased to get back to normal so we will have to see if that was a one off or he has more issues than we thought, and the lad has enough for a young dog.
As Sabre went off to Huddersfield we had a visitor from Leicester as my Dad came up for a short holiday.
I'll post more details next time but the visit coincided with the Southport Air Show and Coalville Town playing down the road at Marine FC in Crosby. That was either dead lucky or good planning! A busy time for a few days and finishing off with another chance to visit a pub/restaurant for my review section which is still in the making.
It started well with the arrival of my Dad and his driver (my brother, John) but unfortunately that was all, no suitcase, no tablets, no stick. Thank heavens for the Coalville Town committee men who rescued the situation on Saturday afternoon and Southport A&E who provided some stuff too. More of the holiday in the next instalment.
On the main site i managed to tick off the 12th Century Meols Hall on the list of things to do. You only get one month a year to go there so it was worth making time, its rather unimpressive to be honest but hey you cant love everything you see. Also got some snaps of the old Bus/Tram station up on Cobden Road, it was built in 1900 and now houses the Arriva bus fleet. Once the Autumn is here i will make up a proper list of things i haven't photographed yet and try and get it all done for Christmas! Now there a target to aim for.
