SOUTHPORT BRICKS
Southport lies on the North-West coast, for those not familiar with that side of the UK it's somewhere in the middle between Liverpool and Blackpool.
Some call it the seaside resort with no sea, just miles and miles of sand and it was founded way back in 1792. I moved here in 2015 and a lot has happened in the intervening 223 years but some of the old stuff it is still here, and that's the point of the website.
I immediately fell in love with the Victorian architecture and the amazing symmetrical street map that stretches about 8 miles from Banks to Ainsdale and is barely 3 miles wide at any point.
I have decided to embrace Southport and try to get to know the place. I intend to photograph as many of the buildings, hotels, churches and other things of interest that I can and find out a bit about their history if possible. Oh and by the way Southport does have a sea!
