Two more for 'Church section'

In my introduction to the 'Church' section on the website i mention that i have 50 working churches on my list plus a few that have closed or been demolished.

This week that number increased by two when i realised i hadn't included the First Church of Christ, Scientist on Lord Street and i finally got round to seeing the Arnside Road Synagogue, the base for the Southport Hebrew Congregation.

Both very different types of buildings i have to say and the Arnside Road Synagogue is a lovely place as you can see in the photo attached. It was built in 1926 and was one of two synagogues in Southport at the time but the one on Portland Street has since closed.

The First Church of Christ, Scientist is an American healing religion which is quite popular in Britain and has many branches up and down the country. This church also has a reading room on Bold Street for its followers. It's a much more modern building and not half as nice as the synagogue.

I've also added photos of St.Patricks Church and the Bethesda Chapel on Aughton Road and i'm in the process of starting the promised critic section which will be launched with my review on the Falstaff pub which we visited a few weeks ago.
